PA's Response to Writers Concerning Bad Publicity

By PA's Author Support

Additional commentary in bold by David L. Kuzminski

Meanwhile, back at the ranch, PA's response to its writers who have written it about the recent news stories indicates they've taken lessons from former Iraqi Information Minister Muhammed Saeedal:

Dear Xx. Xxxxxxx,

We have had no bad publicity; quite the contrary! We have had a huge piece
of very positive publicity, all across the nation! And, a huge recent surge
in popularity as a result! Since you are a local author, if you were to
visit our office, which you are very welcome to do, you would soon see the
article framed and prominently displayed for all to see.

The Washington Post story is local, largely false, and relatively
insignificant, and was quickly and easily refuted. We encourage you to read
our public reaction to it at
http://www.publishamerica.com/PaulaSpanRebuttal. Our comments on the much
more balanced Associated Press story, plus a link to the story itself, can
be found at http://www.publishamerica.com/NationalNews.

We are very happy that our positive story is being told all across the
nation. You have every reason to be proud of your publisher, like your
11,000 peers. You may find a small sample of their reactions
here: http://www.publishamerica.com/testimonials.

Your tone is very inappropriate, especially in light of all the positive
publicity that we are receiving. No one has treated you with anything but
honesty and respect. But please tell us how you feel that you were "lied to
and deceived," and what the "other truths" are to which you refer.

be aware that paragraph 24 could be invoked for my book

Also, please consult a lawyer prior to sending nonsense like this. No,
paragraph 24 may not be invoked, unless PublishAmerica decides to do so.

When you revolutionize an industry, you are bound to make headlines. As a
PublishAmerica author you are contributing to changing the publishing
industry, and the lives of tens of thousands, in a very positive and
meaningful way.

All change breeds resistance. All pioneers have their detractors.
Fortunately, PublishAmerica has not had much in the way of detractors, and
they have not had any effect on us at all. In fact, since the articles have
come out, we've seen an increase in interest in PublishAmerica, and a flood
of positive messages.

As we continue our spectacular growth and impact on the publishing
industry, PublishAmerica will certainly continue to make many more headlines.

Again, please tell us what you feel that we have done wrong, and we will be
happy to consider your request.

Thank you!

P&E has heard that PublishAmerica Author Support also claims there are no American military units in Baghdad. Could that also be true?

The recipient's name was removed from the letter to avoid any embarrassment to that individual.
