Touch Me, My Lovely, Before I Die

by Novyl Saeed Kureshi © 2004

“Shit!”

The exclamation escaped her lips of it’s own accord. She glanced over at the control panel and noticed that all the warning lights were flashing. The ship was low on fuel and one of the engines was damaged badly. Her shields were low as well, showing only 30% strength.

“Shit, shit, shit!” She exclaimed again. She looked over at her first mate, Trelli. “Did you check the scanners?”

“Yes, Captain! The scanners show that the enemy is now retreating!”

“Where in the galaxy are we? What’s the crew condition?” were her next questions. She was still looking at the control panels and pressing buttons, to check power reserves.

“We are in Sector Alpha-Ataro 20415, Captain!” The first mate, glanced nervously at the captain. She was a daunting figure. A huge Amazon lady, with long blonde hair, tied into a bun at the nape of her neck. She was the youngest person in Star Fleet Blue Falcons to get captaincy of a ship. This was Captain Zashea’s first mission and it was going horribly wrong. “We’ve had five casualties, so far, Ma’am!”

“Sector Alpha-Ataro?” Zashea’s eyes widened. “How did we get here? It’s considered no-man’s land by the Blue Falcons!”

“The enemy chased us here, Captain. We didn’t realize what was going on till too late!”

The battle had been quiet long and hard. Their ship, Zolo, was small, but quick, with standard photon torpedoes, combat shuttle phasers and a special type XA laser cannon. The enemy, Firshta’s, had three of their bulky and slow ships, after the Zolo. The Zolo had managed to out chase them and damage the Firshta’s ships, beyond repair.

“Well, we don’t have much time now. This ship needs to be landed. What’s the nearest habitable planet we can land this baby on?” Zashea asked.

“There’s a small planet, with plenty of oxygen and showing signs of life. We have enough power to get there, Captain. The planet is uncharted by the Blue Falcons or any of the other fleets. Estimated time of contact is t minus 6.3 minutes.” The first mate read off the scanners and radars.

“We will have to take our chances. Send an SOS signal beam, with our location, to Blue Falcons head quarters. Then take this baby down to Planet X, Trelli!” Zashea ordered.

The ship touched down on Planet X, roughly. The first mate and piloting engineers had a hard time controlling the ship, as it slid from side to side and rolled forward but they managed.

Zashea ordered her crew to start repairs on the ship and keep trying to contact Blue Falcons head quarters. She, herself, decided to do some scouting around the planet for her report.

As she was collecting her phaser and a few vials, for samples, Trelli came to her cabin and told her that HQ had their position and would be there in thirteen hours.

That gave her enough time to explore the planet.

She rode her hover-craft for two hours, around the strange purple haze planet.

There was strange vegetation. Trees with leaves as large as herself. Foliage, in different colors of the rainbow. There was even one shrub she saw, in which every leaf was a different color. Blue, green, orange, red, white, yellow. There was definitely life on this planet. It would make an interesting report for HQ Command.

Finally, she came to small clearing, where there was pink colored water falling down from a small cliff, into a small pool. With the purple haze and the brilliant foliage, it looked beautiful.

She stopped the hovercraft and got off it. She wanted to take a sample of the water and as she was doing this, she heard a strange cry, from somewhere behind the waterfall.

Zashea grabbed her phaser, her heart thudding in her chest. She looked around and noticed a small path leading behind the waterfall. She decided to investigate. It had been a pitiful cry. A cry for help.

She walked, cautiously up the path and into the coolness of a cave. She shone the light on her phaser around and noticed a flash of blue, lying on the ground. With her heart hammering away, she stepped closer.

Her light, suddenly, lit upon two huge dark eyes. She froze. The cave started to become lighter, as her eyes adjusted to the light. She saw a large form, almost human, but not quiet, lying there in a half sitting position. It’s skin was all blue and on it’s face were diagonal stripes of red, yellow, green and white. The face was hauntingly beautiful. With chiseled blue features and a generous pale blue mouth.

She instantly that this creature was dying. It had a wound in its side, which was, strangely, not bleeding. She had never seen such a creature before.

“Come to me…” A voice, pale and blue, whispered in her head.

Startled, she could only do as it asked. She could not resist it.

She stepped closer to the creature. It was male, she knew that instantly. Her eyes were locked into his dark ones. She was drowning in them and held completely, in their control.

“Touch me, my lovely, before I die…” The voice, whispered, in her head again.

She reached out and extended her hand towards the blue skin, to touch it.

For the first time and the last time.

A powerful electrical surge of pleasure went through her, as her hand touched the skin. She screamed.

The blue creature let out one final cry and then the light went out of its beautiful haunting eyes.

Zashea was left with the feeling that she had been made love to, one last time. Somehow, the creature has instilled all of its passion and love into her, in just one touch.

A tear rolled, silently, down her cheek.
